Was there any doubt really that it would happen? “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” raked in $56.6 million this weekend to knock "Iron Man" down a peg or two. It also brought in $20.7 million overseas.
Caspian has done well but it still has a way to go to beat it's predecessor, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," which brought in $745 million worldwide during it's run in theaters.

Tori has a job
Tori Spelling has gotten work (besides possibly the new 90210 spin-off).
Spelling and her son, Liam, will be the first mother-and-child models in Skechers new ad campaign called "Nothing Compares to Family."
Skechers plans to use a variety of famous families throughout the campaign, featuring mothers and small children and adult celebrities with their sisters, brothers, parents and grandparents.
Sounds totally wholesome. Thanks Skechers for giving Donna work.

Only 14 and richer than the rest of us
People is reporting how much some of today's highest paid teens are making, that's teens as in not 18 yet, god I feel old.
The Miley Cyrus franchise is projected to be worth a cool billion by the end of the year, that's billion with a B people. The tweens of the world have united and they have elected Hannah Montana queen of the universe. Seems Mary Kate and Ashley have lost their title.
Some of the other way-too-young money makers on the list are:
The Jonas Brothers, $12 million
Dakota Fanning, 14, $4 million per movie
Abigail Breslin, Little Miss Sunshine herself, 12, makes $2 million a film, but has to live on an allowance of $11 a week
Mark Indelicato, 13, makes nearly a half million dollars for a season of "Ugly Betty," but he has an allowance of $50 a week.

Ashlee moving to the po' house?
Hmm, seems Ashlee's CD is not burning up any records, in fact it's projected that she will only sell about 50,000 to 55,000 copies it's first couple of weeks, which sounds like a lot but then again doesn't when you consider that Mariah Carey's E=mc2 sold 463,000 in its first week alone. But exactly how much does that equal in dollars?
Hmm, well I had no idea so I looked it up. According to musiclaw.info (after I had read thru scratching my head) the best figure I could get is that the artist makes about $1 off of the sale of a full CD (I'm not counting iTunes and things like that here, just the basic CD from your local Walmart or where ever). So with let's say 55,000 CDs sold at say $17.00 that equals $935,000, sounds good to me. But wait, that's total of the sales, then you count all the people with their hands out, that's not that much.
So with 55,000 copies you'd think that Ashlee's take would be like $55,000. But, the record company gets their cut first and must be recouped for how much they paid to put the CD out there in the first place. So lets say the CD cost the record company $250,000 to make then the artist has to pay that out of their payday before they can get any royalties from the CD sales. Holy crap, this means that approximately a quarter-mill CDs need to be sold before the artist actually collects. Ashlee's screwed I'm thinking.
It all sounds pretty confusing. So how do the music stars actually make any money? Well I guess the first would be to sell a lot of albums, but I guess Ashlee's past that here. It sounds like concerts are the main money maker and all the other things stars get paid for, endorsements, perfume making, all that fun stuff. Amazing how crazy getting paid can be in the music biz.

J-Lo, still ruling the world
So how much money is too much? I have no clue (would like to find out, but as of right now have no idea), but Jennifer Lopez is definitely trying to figure it out.
Wife to itty-bitty man Marc Anthony, and mom to twins
Emme and Max, has decided to do a documentary, reality show, whatever on TLC that will follow her in her busy life as wife, mother, performer, nanny/nurse/butler wrangler, boss, and general super-woman. I'm sure she'll probably do it all in full makeup and 3 inch heels too. No word yet on what her payday will be or what the show will be called, but to top off the deal J-Mom will also serve as co-executive producers. Someone please get that woman a vacation.
