Was there any doubt really that it would happen? “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” raked in $56.6 million this weekend to knock "Iron Man" down a peg or two. It also brought in $20.7 million overseas.
Caspian has done well but it still has a way to go to beat it's predecessor, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," which brought in $745 million worldwide during it's run in theaters.
"Iron Man" had two weeks at #1 for a domestic total of $222.5, not too shabby.
The scary thing about all of this is that they still have all summer to go. I'm kind of curious to see how much these two films will make by the time the kids go back to school. I'm so in the wrong business.
