Winehouse turned herself into a London police station voluntarily today in connection with the January video of her doing cocaine and Ecstasy. “Around 1 PM today a 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug,” a spokesperson for Scotland Yard told Sky News. “She remains in custody. This is in connection with an investigation connected to footage passed to the Metropolitan Police on January 22.” Following the singer’s arrest, her rep issued a statement indicating Winehouse voluntarily turned herself in. “Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is co-operating fully with inquiries,” the rep’s statement read. “The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year.” How many arrests does a person have to have before they are actually kept in jail for a while? Do they have no three strikes law over the big pond?
