Cynthia Nixon says she would like to marry her longtime girlfriend, Christine Marinoni.
“If it becomes legal, I think we would," Cynthia tells The Mirror. "It's something my girlfriend is interested in and it was not something my boyfriend ever was. I think that to get married to her would be a little act of rebellion. It's like if you've never had the vote and then you get it you're going to run out there and vote.”
Now I'm all for equality for all and I think everyone should have an equal opportunity for happiness no matter what their preferences. But my question is, isn't Nixon sort of marrying down? I mean she's a successful, pretty actress with a sure-to-be-hit movie coming out, and her girlfriend sort of looks like a, like a, well not like Cynthia Nixon. Just an observation, that's all. I guess I'm showing my shallower self, sorry, it comes out once in a while.
